I have an NG900 (1995 900S) and a 9-3 (2006 9-3SC). I would assume the A/C in the NG900 and the OG 9-3 are the same. The A/C in my 9-3 is clearly superior, both in terms of volume and in many cases also output temperature. I find that in the 900 the unit must be left in the RECIRC mode on really hot days as the vent temp. is too warm in the FRESH mode. Also, while idling in traffic, the vent temp on the 900 gets considerably warmer; much less so on the 9-3. I was never really happy with the performance of the A/C on the 900. The newer ones are much better.
