Assuming all of your fluids and tire pressure is good, the only tip I have is to be sure and let the car idle down before you shut it off after long drives. People debate as to its effectiveness towards the preservation of the car, but I am a firm believer that letting the car idle for roughly two minuites when you stop (such as getting off of the interstate and filling with gas) is very benifical. Other than that, enjoy the 1,600 miles trip. That is exactly what the car was built to do. I've driven my 2003 9-3 across the country a few times and the car preforms great. Good luck
