I have the Akebono Euro ceramics front and rear on my 03 9-3 Arc SS. Bought at Tire Rack.
Fronts have 10k miles; rears 2k. No need to wash wheels between car washes; the light gray dust does not show. Brakes have less "bite" or initial stopping power than stock per Tire Rack ratings, but I like this. Arc brakes with stock pads on the big rotors was too abrupt for me. These ceramics require a little more pedal pressure, but it is still fine and the car seems to stop as well as before. Noise: I get a little squeak from the front when brakes are warmed up and I am using light pressure (mechanic might not have lubed the backing plates). This goes away when pushing a little harder. Fronts are quite noisy when cold and backing up. Rears make no noise. On my car, rotor wear has *decreased* with the ceramic pads. My front and rear rotors were heavily grooved by the stock pads, and there is no visible grooving now after 10k miles on the fronts. The stock pads may be "soft" as some people in this thread say, but I think they are more abrasive (generating more dust) than the Akebono ceramics.
