Interviews yesterday with Victor Muller (CEO of Spyker Cars) and the representatives from the Swedish government said that the loan guarantee will be approved (just the paperwork to complete). As for the money, Victor Muller is buying out Vladimir Antonov, who will leave the board. Muller is pulling together the cash from his own money plus loans from an investment company he owns. So, he is basically self-financing this, plus offering GM a bunch of shares of preferred stock in the new company.

All of this is being worked over the next couple of weeks, plus getting the appropriate approvals for a large purchase like this. That is why they said they expect it all to wrap up by mid-February (in a couple of weeks).
