This morning, .2 mile from my house, with the temperature around 22 degrees Fahrenheit, my 2008 Combi 2.0T gave an SID warning. ESC, TC, anti-lock, failure; on closer look the speedometer was pegged at zero and did not move. Cruise control could not be engaged.
After about three miles I turned the car off at a red light, and then restarted the engine. No error codes on the SID, and the speedo seemed to function correctly again.
The car has 15,700 miles. It is have been perfect except that two days ago, it stumbled with a momementary loss of power, or maybe a misfire, on starting to accelerate slowly from my driveway, another cold start, temperature around 3 degrees Fahrenheit or so.
Any idea what the likelihood of recurrence is? What the cause might be? I am thinking more about whether to take it on a 700 mile drive in a week or so.
TIA.
