I have a new 09 Combi. I think the setting are the same (except that the 09 has BlueTooth standard). Also, I don't have the navigation system, so that's a diffent unit.

So, here goes:

I don't know if there's an easy way to clear all of the favorites, but you set them just like you do on other car radios: tune to the station you want and hold the button for a few seconds until it chimes. If you don't want all six of the fav pages, you can select the number of pages you want by pressing and holding the fav button. You can then select the number of pages from the "fav 1-6" choice on the setup menu.

On the horizontal line: if you mean button to the left of the radio, below the "Night Panel" button, it doesn't do anything. It's just an extra button for accessories. The owners manual says "This button can be used for accessories, such as extra lights". The same is true of the blank button there also.

The hatch release button is working correcty. What it does is unlock the hatch (while at the same flashing the lights). You then need to manually go to the hatch and open it via the lever under the lid. It's not like some cars (i.e., my old 900s), where it will pop-open the hatch. You cannot unlock the hatch without doing this or pressing the unlock button on the remote.

Hope this helps,
Mike.
