Considering purchasing used Saab

Hello all! I've been lurking on this site for a while now reading about owner experiances and such, and I'm currently in the market for a used vehicle. I've always loved the newer 9-3 models and only recently realized how afforable they are. So far in my search I've found 2 cars that meet my criteria and was wondering if I could get some feedback or advice from real world Saab people.
The first is a 2007 9-3 Aero with 41,000 miles on it sold privately. It has about 5 months factory warranty remaining and I would probably look into an extended warranty if availible.

The second is a 2004 9-3 Arc with 49,000 miles on it.

This is obviously the cheaper of the 2 cars but offers me no protection as far as a warranty. The Carfax, while clean, has multiple listings (around every 5k miles) of "Body Electrical System Checked". Asking the seller they said they replaced the radio amplifier, but otherwise didn't know what that was about.
So basically I like both vehicles and am just not sure which is the wiser purchase. Both seem to have been maintained well and are somewhat close in mileage. I'm just curious at this stage what kind of repairs I might be in for and if its worth the extra 4 grand to get the newer vehicle(which doesnt have anything concerning on its Carfax).
I know Saabs are among the most reliable vehicles on the road, but have also heard that routine maintenance can be expensive, as well as trouble finding a good mechanic to work on it. Any input is appreciated. Thanks all!!
