This was inadvertantly posted on the general board. perhaps I can get a response here. I have an 06 9.3 vert, automatic, the shifter squeeks when in manual mode, is there a way to lube the shifter below the accordian plate on the center consol? if so what type is recommended, I don't want to spray the wrong lube in there and fry an electronic connection.

The other squeek is more of a tweet or whistle from the brake pedal, just started recently, happens when you first touch the brake pedal with foot, definetly coming from floor area at the pedal. coincidently I installed new akebono brake pads and new rotors all around about 1000 miles ago, car has 67K on odometer now. Is this something that can be remedied with lubricant if so where and what type or is it leading to a booster failure down the road.
