Per earlier posts, I replaced OEM Conti's w / Yokohama W4S at about 25K. They were somewhat wider than the OEMs, and I was generally satisfied, although they didn't make 30K miles. Part of the problem was peculiar wear, cupping of the tread, which was due at least in part to slight misalignment.
Replaced these w / Conti Extreme DWS (Dry / Wet / Snow) on advice of dealer (price competitive w / Tire Rack counting shipping, mounting, etc). At 10K miles, these tires -- which are rated at 50K life expectancy -- are probably THE all-season tires. On installation, steering felt a bit light, but after break-in, dry traction was as good or better than OEMs or Yokohamas. The tires are exceptionally quiet, as least as good as the OEMs, probably better.
Wet performance meets expectations, although I've not had the chance to drive for a sustained period in heavy rain. Snow performance, so far, matches the exceptional rating from the Tire Rack test. In light snow and slush, the tires give surprising performance. No chance yet to test in deep snow.
I had wheels aligned at installation, and wear at 10K is even and consistent with projected tread wear. About half the mileage is Interstate and highway, the remainder primarily suburban. They have been rotated once. I consider myself a spirited but not aggressive driver.
Price was about $150 per tire, as I recall, or about $200 each, mounted, balanced, and with road-hazard warranty and tax. Price included free rotation. I would rate these tires superior all-season, and recommend they be considered in any potential Saab tire replacement.
