Did you call and get a quote from your shop?
If yours failed from coolant contamination like John mentioned you will need to include changing the radiator, flushing the delivery hoses, the shop may offer to install new engine/trans mounts for you while it's apart, etc.
I know it can be stressful, but it might not be a good idea to go in with the mindset of paying a fixed price on such a big job ahead of time, because often during big jobs like this you discover other issues you may not have noticed yet than can be done for a reduced price since the car is already apart, for example CV joint boots.
I usually won't take a trans job like that if the owner is resigned to the idea of not replacing anything but the bare minimum required, that's just not wise for how much labor you're paying for the job, it's not worth it for me to do the job if you come back 3 months later with the rear main crank seal weeping oil since that's a $20 part (or whatever) to replace while the gearbox is off.
Then I feel bad, and you feel angry.
