Hello All,
I was recently thinking of going to the dark side(BMW) but couldn't completely stomach that idea. I currently own a 99 9-3 and its is on its way out with more problems than things that are good. I am back to the 9-3SS a replacement (or an A4 Quattro, as a New Englander with the winter we just had AWD would be nice and the Saab XWD is out of my price range. My question is in the 2005-2007 range how easy is it to self maintain these cars? Does the presence of more electronics impede the weekend mechanic? On my current current car i've done everything from an oil change to a turbo swap? Are they as easy to work on? Do they need any special tools/computers that anyone has experienced?
Thanks, also if you want to throw in any personnal experiences with similar year A4 your imput would be greatly apprechiated.
Thanks,
Chris
