I'm sure it can be done. We've had 3 car seats across a c900 (also 2 car seats + an adult) which is narrower in the back than the 9-3ss (though the 9-3ss leg room is probably less due to the contour of the lower seat cushion)... the car seat model makes a difference, as you'll likely need one that is narrower. The one we got is Sunshine Kids Radian. Originally had a Britax Marathon, but it was way too wide, and the Radian is equally safe (+ expensive) but much narrower (due to the steel frame). You could probably fit 3 Radians side by side across the back if you wanted. With 2,3, and 5 year olds, you're probably looking at 2 seats forward facing + a booster (we have 2 + 5, both are still in Radians + have had friends kids in there at the same time)... Even with the Radians, it will be a tight squeeze. I don't think it would even be possible with Britax... there are many narrow boosters. The SK one isn't that narrow. We've had Graco Turbobooster, Britax Parkway, and some Eddie Bauer one in there next to the 2 other seats, no problem... If I was buying one, I'd probably go for the Parkway of those 3, though there are lots of other options...
hope that helps!
James...
