So, your car is a 2008 GM car. Both made and sold by GM. Does not the new GM honor the warranties of the old GM?
I would take the postion that GM (New GM) owes warranty protection on the 2008 Saabs just as it does on Pontiacs, Saturns and Hummers. The next question would be where one would take a Saab for warranty service. The average Chevy wrench may not be up on the peculiarties of Saabs.
This is the kind of question that one really does not want to have to find out the answer to.
In the meantime, may I suggest over maintaining the car, baby it with short interval fluid changes, etc.
