Parts should not be too much of an issue after some time as other companies, or the OEM makers, start selling in the after-market. Body panels and unique items with low failure rates could be the most problematic.
But if Saab disappears completely there is no company to provide payment to former Dealers for warranty service.
Just my opinion.
I am facing the same dilemma. My 9-5 is old with 312K+ miles and will be needing replacement in the future. Nothing else in the market captures my interest like Saab. Do I buy a new one at the current deep discounts, buy a slightly used OG 9-5 with its 12+ year history of parts availability, or keep driving mine until the wheels fall off?
