I'm the proud owner of a 2011 9-3 Combi. Unlike our 2009 sedan, this new wagon does not have XM, Bose or Bluetooth. I can live without XM (though I am curious how it could be added), and the sound quality is fine so I don't miss the Bose, but I REALLY want to add Bluetooth.
From what I've gleaned, the Saab Bluetooth kit (32026144 or 32025907 ??) will mute the stereo and the allow phone through the speaker, but does NOT make the steering wheel buttons functional, and requires a silly little extra controller. Not really the integrated installation I was hoping for, like in our 2009 sedan.
I've been reading about products that are supposed to make the steering wheel buttons usable (Parrot Unika control cable for MKi series, Audicom SW101CS for Parrot CK) as well as a quick connect harness that is supposed to simplify installation (QCHBC-GM3).
I'm still not clear if my 2011 SC has wiring and/or microphone for Bluetooth.
Has anyone figured out the best way to add integrated bluetooth to their Saab that doesn't have XM / Bose? If so, which parts do I need to get?
Any informed advice would be MUCH appreciated.
-Thanks
