The seal is part of the rear engine cover so the whole cover has to come off. That cover also seals toward the oil pan so it is several things to keep in mind. With the price of the seal, hard to find and the tricky part of replacing it and that it also ask for a guide sleeve to be bolted to the crank shaft, I would probably leave it alone if it is not visibly leaking.
