2003 9-3 Linear, 101k miles. Transmission was flushed at 98k and there were no problems with it afterwards. In the past 200 miles we noticed that once it is warmed up (driven 30 or 40 minutes) the trans will frequently go back and forth from 5th to 4th at speed. Kind of like it doesn't know what gear to be in. Speed/RPM is not a factor -- it should stay in 5th. Also, it occasionally 'engine brakes' when slowing down, which started at the same time. Any ideas? We thought maybe the wrong ATF was put in (Type IV) so we had it reflushed with Mobil 3309 and no change. When cold it seems to shift fine.
