When to change spark plug wires...

I have a 2006 93 2.0 with 165,000 miles. Im about to change my oil, spark plugs & air filter. I have never changed the wires yet and was wondering when to do it. The car runs great right now but I like to be ahead of the game. Is this a diy thing and any hints on what wires to get or troubles I might have. Thanks for the help
