Ugh wish I noticed your email! I ended up using a dremel to expose the cooked ground. I was able to cut the old terminal out so that I could remove the clip and the damaged wire. Once I had it out I soldered a new 20 ga wire in. With that done I picked up some liquid tape and am in the process of slowly building up the areas I removed to acces the terminal and remove the burnt plastic. The stock terminal clips are works of art. hope this works
All the best
Sue
