Expert Time! Two different T25 turbos,1 for rare 99 HO?

So we all know the 900 had a T25 turbo that sent the charge straight down -
one sits outside in the driveway.
Then onn the 1999 models things get complicated:
>there is a base model 9-3 that engine wise is just like the older 900 turbos (the new base, instead of a N/A 2.3)
>there is an SE model that had Vin code P making it an HO B204R model - this is on the car in my garage - the engine in it has the same downcharging T25, but the viggen intercooler and thus a rare single 1999M.Y. hose taking the straight down charge into the passenger front into the intercooler.
then I have the block also from a 99 HO but automatic trans (flex plate was still attached when it arrived in 2008 after being marked and in storage since 2002 in Oregon) that has a T25 pointing forward 45 deg!
The engine arrived with all B204 bits and 38k miles, clean but not washed, so appears all original - can you ID these blocks with external markings to verify?
The original down facing turbo on my car has too much play on the intake (I can contact the housing, but no damage yet) and spins freely. The turbo on the donor car is tight and will turn but won't spin (but to be clear it has sat for 10 years unused!) I would expect a small advantage to modified cars having the slightly forward facing turbo and corresponding intercooler hose (less bend right off the turbo) but not enough until you hit 250+hp (like exhaust system) -
submit your opinions or experience now :)
