tires can "flat spot" after sitting in one position for a while. after driving on them for a bit they'll soften up and go back to their round shape.
(it's not technically a true flat spot since that term is usually reserved for a situation in which rubber is removed from one spot via wheel lockup/skid, which obviously will never "fix itself.")
if this behavior is worse the colder it is, and gets better as the temps rise, then you know it's just the tire deforming temporarily. some rubber compounds are better/worse than others.
