All these are good suggestions. I would like to take the opportunity to share with you one of my dear dads advice and teachings, as its kinda related and he just passed away so this has already put a smile on my face. My dad was an Automatic Transmission specialist and he taught all his kids when you shut your car down take it out of gear, engage the emergency break, let the car settle and rest allowing the emergency break to carry 100% of the burden induced from the weight of the car, after the car has settled put it in park if an automatic, or 1st gear if a manual. shut it down. He use to say letting the transmission carry that load while parked wears and wears on those parts overtime. Let the break do it. Much cheaper to adjust the break cable every few years than rebuild your transmission. Good luck.
