in short, yes one can use the harness from a FWD/Xenon car to install it on a XWD/Xenon like mine.
The rear XWD harness is a combination of 2 harnesses : one for ABS+xenon sensor, and one for the XWD differential. Both are fused togheter into a single sheated harness. But, if need be, one can use a new FWD/Xenon harness, and add the XWD part of the old harness to it. Just remove the sheating and taping, extract the XWD wires and connectors, and that's it.
However, since space is at a premium down there, proper routing will demand some creativity to attach it to the 20 or so mounting points.
He will then need to re-use the XWD harness
