Haven't had to deal with a bad turn signal switch but I have saved a few CIMs where the clock spring had gone bad but it takes that you have a stash of bad CIMs to scavenge parts from.
If using a new CIM you have to have the Tech 2 and get security access from Tis2web to be able to sync up the new CIM to car since CIM is the heart of theft and immobilizer system where the key codes are stored.
