Spray with a small amount of WD-40 around bulb socket (one short squirt) grab reinforced section of the wires at back of socket with needle nose pliers or slightly curved hemostat (I like hemostat)twist slightly and pull straight out. WD-40 makes all the difference. Gives a bit of lubrication.
