OK, sorted this all out. The info from the build sheet matches the solid rotors on the car. Also found some discussion of the label inside the drivers door that also agrees. The label has a bunch of numeric and alpha fields separated by dashes. Found this on another site. Just be careful the notation 15" is NOT the wheel size. It tells you what rotor size you have but it isn't inches. Confused enough?
As far as the letters go (bottom line, far right) :
The first couple describes the front brake disc.
AA: 15" 285mm
AB: 16" 302mm
AC: 16"+ 314mm (mounted on 2.8 V6)
AD: 17" 345mm (starting from 2008 only on Turbo X)
The second couple describes the rear discs
BA: 15" 278mm (from 2003 to 2007 on 1.8i, 2.0t, 1,9JTD. From 2008 on only mounted on 1.8i)
BB: 16" 292mm
BC: 16" 292mm only on XWD
The third couple describes front brake caliper
CA: 15"
CB: 16"
CC: 16"+
CD: 17"
The fourth couple describes rear brake caliper
DA: 15"
DB: 16"
Will post some pics later, but the "BA" code told me I have solid 278mm rear rotors. The comment above about only being used on 1.8i's from 2008 on clearly doesn't apply to the US market.
