Twisted piston back into housing. Rubber boot tore. Fortunately had another used caliper, so used it. Two pegs that float the caliper couldn't get them the grab screwing them in to attach the caliper to the mount.
So removed the entire assembly, found another mount that didn't have a stripped thread, and inserted the two pegs first, then inserted brake pads, mounted the whole assembly and inserted the two big bolts to bolt to the hub. What a nightmare!
