The wording of your question suggests you do not have the optional factory roof rails that would go front to back along the edge of the roofs. In this case you can use cross bars and feet that bolt into the roof structure. There are 4 small doors that flip up along the roof edge, under them are fixed female threaded features for the bolted feet to attach to. (These doors may be difficult to get up if they have never been used to date) Years ago I purchased a Saab branded cross bar kit, and it very much looked like it was made by Thule, and my Thule bicycle and ski and cargo box accessories all attach to it perfectly.
The set I own has the older square section cross bars. There was also an "aero" cross bar kit that looked like Thule's more modern rack kits in which the cross bars are aluminum extrusions with airfoil shaped cross sections.
Searching an online Saab part provider's website, I found both versions seem to be available, Look for PN 32025592 (aero) and/or 32025591 (square).
When shopping for my rack years ago, I found I could also by Thule rack kit with "universal" feet that did not make use of the factory threaded mounts under the little roof doors. It was almost twice the price of the Saab branded set. The only advantage I saw was that the Thule rack was lockable, as in the feet clamp mechanisms could be protected with keyed lock mechanisms, but the Saab branded rack is held on with allen head bolts, making it much easier for a thief to steal.
I have also heard that you can retrofit a combi with the optional factory roof rails by buying the necessary spare parts from a dealer or OEM Saab parts retailer. Then you would use different cross bars to attach to these rails. This is likely the most costly path.
