Try banging on the bottom of the fuel tank with something like a short piece of a 2x4 while your daughter attempts to start the car; usually when the fuel pumps quit they can easily be coaxed to run a while longer. Mine quit running at 156k miles while I was in a drive-thru line at CVS. I was all alone so I tried banging on the bottom of the tank with whatever I could find in the car. When I got in the car after 15 seconds of banging she fired right up and i drove it for another week or more before changing the pump with no further issues. Having someone cranking the car while your tapping on the tank should increase your chances of getting it to run. The pump is pretty much in the dead center of the tank.
Good Luck
