The easiest way is to loosen the plastic upper fascia (2 or 3 screws in wheel well opening, then pull fascia out of fender groove) remove both headlight bucket screws on the top side, then pull the bucket forward out of the nylon snap pin on the low back side of bucket. Remove all wires on back side of bucket, then extract the bucket.
I have small hands so I was able (barely) to access the lamp holder on back of bucket for this lamp by removing only the two top screws and pulling the bucket forward, releasing the nylon snap, with fascia still fully attached.
Buy only the Extended Life bulbs! You don't want to do this very often. This was only the second replacement in 15 years of ownership of our 2006.
