I've been using Everstart Maxx H6 (and other sizes for our vehicles) from Walmart for years since it's right down the road from me. Noticed they went to AGM recently so my next one might be that type. I'm only at 37.5K miles now, and when I added the BSR PPC Stage 1 in 2005 the car was only two years old with far fewer miles. I never hammer it and you can really feel the extra torque in the seat of your pants. Always use 93 octane in my case. I have seen pics years ago of a cracked piston from someone running a Stage 2 boost upgrade in a 2.0t rather than the 2.0T. If I want to have that type of punchy driving experience I'll take out my '71 Mach 1 429 4 speed. heh
Back to the battery clamp, it's odd since I saw a few youtube vids where they indicated the screw goes down into plastic or nylon and it's easy to strip. I believe some of the vids were from the UK, and it seems mine has a nut below the battery case and I sure can't even seem to strip it to get the screw out. I'll get it sorted out in some manner since I did it in years past. Just have to wait for some nicer weather in the mid-60's. I like to keep the battery case cover on top, which holds the coolant overflow hose. The guy in the UK video actually wire tied that hose to the lip of the open battery case after adding a little hole. Said he didn't want to use the cover.
