I got a fix-it ticket yesterday for not having a front license plate mounted (California). So, I need to install the license plate holder
that I got when I bought the car (used). The plate holder appears to
be manufactured by Saab.

There are four rather rough and cracked holes in my front bumper from the bracket that was on there from the previous owner, and I'm
worried that the existing holes won't hold very long. I didn't see any simple way to access behind the bumper that would allow me to use any
kind of washers or nuts to help hold the license plate on. I really
don't want to drill any more holes in there either.

My question: Are these plate holders really just supposed to be
wood-screw mounted into the bumper? The holder I have didn't come with
any mounting hardware, so I don't know if there's some kind of
special mounting attachments.

Any advice from you folks?
