So I took a 1,600 mile trip to Toronto, Algonquin Provicial Park, Ottawa, Rochester, Cleveland, got back to Detroit. (Thanks to those of you who gave me all the mountain-biking location tips by the way). The next morning my left rear tire was completely flat. I think I ran over something in this area, but I rolled the car a bit to check the tire and did not see anything obvious sticking in the tire.
So, should I take the tire to the Saab dealer and have them look at it in hopes that I can buy a Road Hazard warranty (I don't want to pay their high labor rates if it's not warranty work), or should I take it to Discount Tire and have them look at it for repair? If it's not repairable, then I'll have to buy a new tire, but at the dealer I'll get reamed. But then, I'm not sure I'll be able to get the exact same tire (Pirelli P6) at Discount Tire.
If I do take it to the dealer, do I have to take it with the car? Or can I drive it there in my other car?
I have 5,000 miles on the vehicle. I'm glad I still have my '97 900 to drive around.
Thanks in advance,
Atul
