o MAN. i almost stripped the drain (bottom) plug. it was already worn by the Saab dealerships who've replaced my clutch + front main seal under warranty. i didn't do it officer, i SWEAR.
i had to go buy a 8mm hex 3/8" socket because, like you said, there was no way to get a good grip on the drain plug. turns out the 8mm hex socket was too DEEP and couldn't be squeezed in between the frame + drain plug. #$%#$^#$!&$#()^$# . i know i would've been able to loosen the fill plug w/ a 3/8" ratchet + 2' breaker bar. but what's the point of having the fill plug when you can't drain the MTF?
so, i wussed out. gonna call dealerships for a drain-n-fill quote... kinda PISSES ME OFF.
