Turbo hesitation

My 2000 93 convertible has 35,000 miles on it, recently when I excelerate quickly and the turbo kicks in, I have a bit of hesitation. The turbo kicks in and then seems to hesitate and kick in again. Took it to the dealer and they said it is the gas, I use only Shell V-Power, does this sound right? Had the turbo replaced at 25,000 miles and had the 30,000 service done. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Alan
