Funky Chevy styling and assembly.... I suppose it all hinges on the definition of "resemble", and they do share some chassis parts, but I sure don't see any resemblence in styling.
The Chevy has the garish chrome bowtie face from a GM Pick-Up, square styling, and the ugliest interior composed of cheap plastics and hideous GM cloth interior fabrics/leathers.
The new Pontiac G6 is much better looking outside, but shares much of the interior treatment from the Malibu.
The Saab is built in Trollhattan Sweden which gets you paint, plastics, fabrics/leather and assembly techniques of the first order of luxury European cars. And the Saab 9-3 has a rich Swedish tradition of styling cues, many aircraft inspired themes, uniquely applied by Saab to create an automobile that inspires many just for it's looks slone.
Push the buttons, slam the doors, look under the hood and see what's painted and whats not, drive both cars back to back.
I'm sorry but I don't find any resemblence.
