After getting back from a short vacation where the rental car was a Dodge Stratus, I realize why I feel the way I do about my Saab. It felt great getting back behind the wheel of a car that was built to perform this morning after driving "the tank" for almost a week. I guess I had higher expectations for Dodge seeing as they are obviously trying to market that division as a sportier car for younger drivers brand. I know it was only a rental, but the engine was terrible on acceleration regardless of starting from a traffic light or just changing lanes. The handling felt like the car was much bigger than it really was. It only had two miles on it when I left the rental car lot. I would prefer my older Saab to that "new car" experience any day. I'll take the squeaks and quirks!
