And obviously the hatch/trunk cover can also be removed to get that "big" space. It will make what's in the trunk visible from outside, but when you need the space, you can take that cover out.
Along with that, you can take out the head rest for the back seat if you want the "MAX" space. I sometimes take them out and flip them so that head rest will face backwards (toward the cargo area) if you want to sit in the back and rest your back against it.
Also he said move the seat slightly, but in my case, I have to move my front seats from all the way back to almost all the way front when I try to flatten the back seat... IMO, this is really a bad designe. They should made the back seat seat little bit more towards the back so the front seat shouldn't be affected by the position of the back seat.
I just deal with it because when I got my back flat, that means I got something big in the back and can't/don't want to drive fast and need to get to somewhere. Therefore, I take them out ASAP and get my front seat adjusted ASAP.
In any case, you CAN sleep in the back if you get some egg crates/air bed.
