With DRLs that means *every single time* you start the car (rather than only whenever you're driving in the dark or in the rain).
I wonder if making them dimmer would help. At Thomas Edison's house in Ft Myers FL, there were lightbulbs running on his original low-voltage system that *never* burned out. Or what about bulbs rated for higher voltgage. Where I live, 120v bulbs burn out quickly but 130v bulbs last a long time. Does anyone know if one can get higher voltage car bulbs?
