Synthetic oil is far superior to non-synthetic. Better protection against wear, better resistance to oxidation, longer drain intervals, easier cold starts (if that is a problem in your locale), cooler running temperatures, -
But, as noted, it is your car and you can do what you want with it.
Keep in mind, Corvette comes factory filled synthetic, and you void the warranty if you don't use synthetic. Mercedes comes factory filled. Porsche comes factory filled. Ferrarri comes factory filled. Saab comes factory filled---getting a picture here?
Obviously biased comments, since I've been using and selling AMSOIL synthetics for over 26 years.
