2000 9-5 wagon 2.3t LPT
I have the following symptoms:
* all 3 remotes suddenly stopped working (pressing "unlock" five times does not help; but pressing the "trunk" button with the key inserted still activates the SID message "3 remotes 3 transporders").
* radio keeps on playing after the car is turned off (has to manually turn it off).
* after the car is turned off and the driver's door is opened there is continiuos beeping coming from dashboard (from SID?)
* the car can be opened/locked/started mechanically with a key, but the alarm system never arms (red LED is off).
I am 99% sure the problem is in the central lock. There must be a sensor to check when the key is removed/inserted and mine is stuck on always inserted. Can someone confirm that the remote buttons are disabled with the key inserted?
The wife has opened a sunroof a few days ago with a few inches of snow still on the roof (damn those "one touch to completely open" feature). So naturally there was water all over the lock area. I still hope the problem will go away when the lock dries up.
