There are two bulbs for each unit (two bulbs on driver switch and two bulbs on passenger switch) - in my Saab anyway. I have a '99 9-5 wagon. I recall something in a post a while back that may have indicated that the # of bulbs may have changed in diff. year models.
The bulbs in mine point in opposite directions, so one bulb is behind the seat icon/#'s and the other bulb is behind the knob. The swithches are pretty easy to pull out. I have a blank opposite each one of mine so I popped those out which made pulling the switches out easier. All done with a flathead on my leatherman micra.
When you get the switch out, you can see the back of one of the bulbs. The other bulb is behind a white 'door' that pops off the switch. A thin flathead will 'unscrew' the bulbs from the back side and they will fall out of the switch.
Good luck.
Got the window switch piece out this AM. Two bulbs in there - one lights the driver switches and the other the backseat switches and the window lock button. Back to the dealer for bulbs.
