This should definitely be one of the maintenance steps. Your car is approaching 6 years of age, yet the mileage is low enough that I suspect you still have the original brake fluid. This is part of the 60,000 mile service and some recommend changing it every 2 - 3 years regardless of accumulated miles.
Old brake fluid can contain water and cause the sensation you are describing. Brake fluid is hydroscopic (loves water) and Saab's brake system venting design agravates this problem.
Change the fluid and have everything else inspected as Dean recommended.
