Bought a 2001 9-5 Aero yesterday... Now it won't start!

I just bought a 2001 9-5 Aero. Luckily, it still has six months under warranty, because the car won't start. When I turn the key, all lights are on, engine checks out OK, but nothing happens.
It does this sporadically, and so far has started eventually two times, but it is not starting right now.
Somebody (who doesn't know much) told me the car isn't recognizing the key because it thinks the alarm is still on and thus the kill switch is engaged.
Does anybody know how to DISABLE THE ALARM? Maybe if I try that, I can get it to the dealer. I don't think the BATTERY is the problem, but maybe it is running LOW and that is screwing up the electrical system. I read on this website that maybe the SECURITY MODULE is the problem.
I read that Consumer Reports gave this car a dirty, black dot for electrical. I hope this doesn't forebode poor reliability.
Thanks for the help!
Jason
