Do a search under PCV Modification or something similar and you will find plenty of posts. Too much pressure develops in the crankcase leading to assorted problems, and Saab has proposed a number of modifications - last I heard the most recent modification had been rescinded and there have even been posts about reversing modifications. I had a modification on my '01 some time ago after oil leaks. Problem is very well-known, not sure the solution is well-known. Can't help on out-of-warranty recourse.
