If they're not pimping it as synthetic, then it's not. If they are, well then it MIGHT be :-)
There's a number of ACEA A3-certified oils out there now... including the "german" castrol mentioned here a lot and a couple of the Mobil 1 and new Mobil 1 Extended Life/Drain/whatever's extended.
There's a ton of posts to wade through, and it looks like some of the "oil guys" have or will soon post here... I'm not familiar w/ the Exxon you mention, but I personally probably wouldn't run really long oil change intervals on it.
