Newer 9-5s use the orange Dex-cool while earlier models use the more traditional green. I'm told by my local radiator shop that mixing even small amounts of the two together will gum the internals of car's cooling and heating system.
I have a '99. It's a pre-Dex-cool type. I replaced the coolant recently when installing a new turbo, and used highly recommended Mercedes brand coolant. It's more of a yellow, or clear color.
