Automatic transmission problem

Has anyone else experienced this problem or can you help me diagnose it? My 99 Saab 9-5 has 103K on it. Once the car is warmed up the automatic transmission stops engaging and no power is transmitted through the drive train despite the fact that the engine is running fine. It will work momentarily sometimes when I manually switch gears but then quickly returns to the same state. If I turn the motor off and let is sit for a minute it works again briefly and then returns to the same problem. Yesterday morning I drove to a nearby Jiffy Lube and had the engine and transmission oil changed just in case it was old oil. Unfortunately, this made no difference.
For the last couple of weeks before this problem arose, I noticed that when I stopped the car and put it in park it wouldn't always firmly engage and the key wouldn't come out of the ignition. I had to move the gearshift more firmly into park to remove the key.
I have no Saab repair shop that close to me, so I'm probably going to have to get the car towed. Any recommendations on a Saab repair shop in San Francisco, CA?
