(Sorry, hit enter too fast last time! Here's the post.)
I recently has some recall service done on a 2000 9-5 Aero with 7k miles and have a few questions.
Recall 719: Banjo bolt service. The turbo was not replaced, just the "banjo screw", "gasketturbo", "hosecrankvnt", and "tightnrstrap". The service order also says "performed additional step, drilled out vent". Does this sound normal? What is the drilling supposed to accomplish?
Recall 724: ECU replacement. The service order lists part number 53-81-165 "TRIONB235ROOR72" as the replacement part that was installed. I suspect that this is the wrong part since my shift up light went away after the service, but I'd like to be able to backup that theory. The 724 procedure was supposed to be revised to eliminate the need for 726, but I suspect that I got the "oroginal" 724 and now need 726. Does anybody know how to identify the correct ECU? Anybody have the part number from their service order after having the 726 (or recent 724) recall performed?
