Well this is my week with this car to have problems. I have what I believe to be a PS leak. The fluid is everywhere after taking off the covers under the engine on the passenger side about even with the air filter. I took the pump lose and then noticed more fluid dripping with the lines attached, just moved it out of its cradel. I found the High pressure line lose and I removed it, replaced the oring and put it back together. I tried to clean up the oil. Even the top of the AC compressor had oil on it and it is imposible to reach so I blew it down with an air hose blower. Does anyone know if the high pressure line is prone to fail? The jury is out whether I fixed the leak or not with the oring. I had a small dripping on the garage floor this morning after driving last night but it could be run off. I tried very hard to clean every thing up. The P/S oil is hard to tell from motor oil but the leak is so far forward on the car and the wind blew the oil all over everything. It appears the High pressure hose is one assembly including the cooling loop and is very expensive ($160). I don't want to buy the wrong part. If Anders is reading I would like to know if he has replaced any of these hoses, high failure? I did find the rubber bushings on the air filter were broke and I glued them back holding the air filter at the bottom. Thanks in advance. This has been a bad time for me and Saab. My 1998 NG900 has been in the shop for slight sludge, BS chain sprockets, main bearings rod bearings and rings for the last 3 weeks and I am down to 2 cars for 2 drivers and this one is acting up. Thanks again.
